Project Objective

Students will study architecture and design buildings.

Your students will love creating a bold and vibrant cityscape.

Draw a horizon line across your page. Place several rectangles along the top of the line. Fill the rectangles with shapes to represent windows and doors. Fill the buildings with a black Sharpie marker.
Use washable markers to create the sky. When a color is used, it is repeated in the lower half of the image. This is creating a reflection in the water.
When the sky and water is filled with color, a black crayon will be used to create the reflection of the buildings below the horizon line.
Brush water below the horizon line. Start with the lightest colors first and work out to the darkest colors. Rinse your brush often to keep the colors bright.
