Self Concept Water Bottles
Project Objective
Students will create a 2D version of a water bottle with DIY stickers on the face of the water bottle that showcase their self concept. Your self concept consists of your self-esteem, self-image, and ideal self. Students will make a sticker for all three components to place on their 2D water bottle.

Students will be able to create 3 DIY stickers for their 2D water bottle that highlight each of the components of their self concept.
Standards: (National):
4th VA: Cr1.2.4a: Collaboratively set goals and create artwork that is meaningful and has a purpose to the makers.
4th VA: Re.7.2.4a: Analyze components in visual imagery that convey messges.
Step One
Students will sketch out a water bottle on their paper. Students can reference their own water bottle or reference pictures of water bottles on an ipad/computer. In a classroom setting, teachers can cut a water bottle template from cardboard for students to trace as well. |
Step Two
Students will trace their water bottle with a permanent marker and add color using MARKER OR COLORED PENCIL. Students can experiment with color, line, shape, and pattern in this step to design their 2D water bottle. |
Step Three
Students will sketch out their name in block letters AND an image that best represents each of the three components of their self concept on sticker OR label paper. Students will trace their name and drawings with a permanent marker and add color. |
Step Four
Students will cut out their water bottle and cut out their stickers using the scissors. Students will place their stickers on the 2D water bottle. |
Extra: Students can use extra store-bought stickers to add an extra flair to their water bottle! |
