NAEA was AMAZING!

Bill, Pam and Kelly descended upon New Orleans along with 4,500 members of the art education community for the NAEA National Convention. With over 1,000 workshops, a keynote speech from Tim Gunn, panels, tours, and of course, over 100 vendors, including Art to Remember, this year’s convention was one of the best.

We firmly stand behind our mission to Support and Promote Art Education so we love getting to see our enthusiastic customers and hear about how they’ve benefitted from partnering with us. We heard amazing stories about how teachers were able to fund their classroom for the year with an Art to Remember fundraiser. One teacher was able to purchase clay for all of her students, which was something they’d never done before (we’ll post her video testimonial in the next few weeks!).

We also were thrilled to meet so many new people and talk about how we can work together to make their job a little bit easier with a creative and healthy art-based fundraiser.

Of course, we loved getting to see all of the other vendors who also work to help educators promote art in the classroom. There were so many great hands-on activities, like painting wine glasses in the Shain Solutions booth or creating paper trees and parasols in the Blick booth. The Art of Education hosted bloggers like Cassie Stephens for meet and greets. And who would have thought that there would be a 15 foot tall paper horse?

We hope you were able to make it to the National Convention this year and stop by the Art to Remember booth to say hi. If you are interested in attending next year, head on over to the NAEA website. They have tools available to help you make your case to your administration. It’s a great event that everyone agreed was reinvigorating!

We’ll be announcing the winner of our $100 AOE gift card giveaway on our Facebook page next week.
