Meet your Program Coordinator

The Art to Remember Program Coordinators love working with and learning more about you during the school fundraiser, so we thought that you may want to know more about them as well. Today, we’ll meet Patty Brown.

Patty is one of Art to Remember’s original employees – she will celebrate 20 years with us in October. She said “It has been fun to see the company grow and help so many schools raise money for their art programs. Along the way I have gotten to know many of my art teachers and PTO parents and shared in some of their joys and sorrows. The best part about this job is building relationships with the people I encounter.”

Patty is married and has four children, four grandsons, and twin grandchildren on the way.  She loves walking in the state park, reading, gardening, and relaxing on the patio with family and friends. Her interest in gardening led to a degree in Ornamental Horticulture so even though her yard is small, it is filled with flowering shrubs and trees and flowers. Patty’s favorite month is April when the landscape turns green, purple (when the redbuds bloom), and black (when the tree trunks are wet after the rain).  It is her favorite palette.

Patty also has a guilty pleasure: taking long drives. She recently toured historical sites in Virginia and North Carolina, although her favorite vacation destination is Disney World because “no matter what age you are, there is always something fun to do there.” She would eventually love to tour the western United States and see more of Europe as well as Australia and New Zealand.
