As an art teacher, you are creating amazing things. Outside of opening the minds of kids everywhere to a world of creativity, you are still finding time to work on your own pieces AND author great blogs to share your experiences with others.

There are so many great art ed blogs with invaluable resources like lesson plans, classroom ideas and personal experiences to learn from. Here are a few of the elementary school art blogs that the Art to Remember team likes to visit for inspiration:

  • Cassie Stephens: We love reading Cassie’s blog and seeing her latest outfits. They are always fun, colorful and match the theme of her lesson. The Tennessee Art Education Association recently named her the Elementary Art Teacher of the Year and we can see why. As you read Cassie’s blog, you can really get a feel for how much she loves her job and the kids she works with.
  • SmArt Class: Natalie has great ideas for lesson plans for a variety of mediums. Natalie takes a ton of pictures of each project and the completed pieces, so you’ll have plenty of eye candy while reading. We also think it’s super cute that she incorporates her classroom pets into blog and art projects.
  • Thomas Elementary Art: Zach’s blog is another favorite of ours. He has great ideas – one of them being an after school art club that he started this year. He’s found a lot of success with it, so if you are interested in doing something similar, head on over to see how Zach made this a thriving venture for his students.

We know this is just a small snapshot of the bloggers out there and all of them deserve credit. Who are some of your favorites?
