At Art to Remember, we love giving back. It’s our mission to support art education and we work toward our vision of raising more money for art education every day of the year through fundraising partnerships with schools. But we also like to give back to our communities in other ways.

Last Tuesday, Art to Remember made a donation to Pack Away Hunger and every staff member volunteered their time. With our efficient team, we were able to package 6,480 meals in just a few hours!

Pack Away Hunger is an amazing non-profit organization, located in Indianapolis, serving hungry people across the world. They recognize that the lack of proper nutrition creates serious health and developmental consequences for individuals, especially children. In the United States, 15.8 million children do not have regular access to healthy meals. In developing countries, roughly 100 million children are underweight as a result of chronic malnutrition.

Pack Away Hunger works with like-minded community organizations, businesses and individuals to purchase raw materials needed for pre-packaged meals and then works to create the meals at a “packing event.” The meals are distributed to local food banks and pantries to help end hunger.

The Art to Remember team had a blast while working to fight hunger at our packing event. Many of the team members enjoyed the experience and will be attending events in the future. If you are in the Indianapolis area, and would like to package meals, they would love your help! Click here to learn more.
