Winter Starry Night

This part of the school year can get a little chaotic with holiday programs and concerts, seasonal art shows, and wrapping up loose ends before the end of the semester. If you need a quick, seasonal lesson plan, check out this winter version of Van Gogh’s The Starry Night.

You can use this lesson to tie in a bit of art history while allowing students to adapt one of the most well-known pieces into their own work of art.

The best part is that you probably already have all the materials you’ll need for this lesson: paper, crayons, and watercolors.

Have you adapted any other famous pieces to work as a seasonal lesson? If so, we’d love to see them!
