Paying it Forward with an Art to Remember Fundraiser

While most of us could agree that there’s never enough money allocated towards the art room, a few lucky schools are funded well and in turn, they are paying it forward. They love the Art to Remember program and want to give parents and students the opportunity to order personalized keepsake products, but they don’t necessarily need the fundraising component. So instead, they work with their students to choose a school or organization that will be the benefactor of their fundraising efforts. It’s a win-win for all!

Abby Miller at Berry Intermediate School worked with her students this fall to raise money for The Ocean Cleanup, a nonprofit organization dedicated to removing plastic pollution from the Pacific Ocean. Abby even had her students create ocean themed artwork to bring the project full circle. “Berry 5th graders made sea turtle water color resists and the 6th graders made prints of sea creatures.”

The 5th and 6th grade students were able to raise over $2,000 for The Ocean Cleanup with their Art to Remember fundraiser.
