Start by discussing texture. Have students find different textures in your classroom and practice drawing them.
  1. The student will sketch the animal or subject matter on the white paper, drawing large enough to fill the paper.
  2. After sketching the picture with pencil, the student will use fine point markers to fill in the picture with very small. Do not begin randomly. Work in small sections. Don’t forget the background!
  3. Print name legibly on the front of the paper (at least an inch from the edge so the name will not be cut off).
